Who looks after my product after launch?

I do, 2 days a month, for €2,000 per month. Minimum 3 months, then it runs month to month with one month's notice, and the dates go in the calendar before the month starts so neither of us is improvising.

€2,000 per month

Duration: 2 days a month

Minimum 3 months

Who is Product Partner for, and who is it not for?

Founders with a live product and no development team. The week after launch there is already a list: a copy change, a small feature, a number in the stats that does not look right. You do not need someone on payroll. You need 2 days a month from someone who already knows how the product was built.

It is not for you if the product needs attention every day. If the work on your list is consistently more than 2 days, that is a Build, and I will say so rather than stretch the hours. It is also not cover for outages: I do not run on-call, so if something has to be watched at night, you need an operations provider, not me.

What do your 2 days a month actually cover?

2 working days of my time every month, spent on the product itself and on the decisions around it.

  • 2 working days a month, in the calendar before the month begins
  • Small features, fixes, and changes, built and shipped
  • A second opinion before a decision that is expensive to reverse
  • A written monthly review of what your numbers are doing
  • One channel for questions between the 2 days, answered by me
  • No long onboarding: at most half a day of reading, and none of it if I built the product

How does a Partner month actually run?

The same rhythm every month: booked days, one build day, one decision day, and a written review at the end.

  1. First month: handover

If you did not come through a Build, up to half a day goes on reading the product, the code, and the analytics. It comes out of the 2 days, not on top of them.

  2. Every month: booking

We put next month's two days in the calendar before the month starts and agree what they are for.

  3. Day one: building

Features, fixes, releases. Small things go live the same day.

  4. Day two: decisions

What to do next, what to drop, and what a number is actually telling you.

  5. Month end: the review

A short written note: what changed, how the numbers moved, and what I would do next month.

  6. In between: one channel

One place to ask questions, and I answer them myself. I do not run on-call, so nothing gets escalated at midnight.

What is not included?

Everything that would turn 2 predictable days into an open-ended retainer.

  • Emergency availability, on-call duty, or night calls
  • Unlimited access. An open-ended retainer eats both our time, and neither of us can plan around it.
  • Rolling unused days over. Two days a month is a rhythm, not a balance you build up.
  • Work bigger than the 2 days. I scope and price it separately before it starts, and if it needs its own timeline it becomes a Build.
  • Hosting, licences, and third-party subscriptions. Those stay in your name.
  • Brand identity, logo design, and marketing copy

Questions

Then that work moves out of the Partner month and gets scoped on its own. If something runs slightly past the 2 days, I finish it rather than hand you a half-done change. Anything larger gets its own written scope and its own price before it starts, and the Partner months carry on alongside it.

Because month one buys the least. The first 2 days go on getting current with what launch changed, and every month after that the same two days go further. 3 months is where the arrangement starts paying for itself, and after that it runs month to month with one month's notice.

Yes. The handover takes up to half a day out of the first month: I read the code, go through whatever task list exists, and look at the analytics. If the codebase turns out to be something I cannot safely work in, I tell you inside the first month. You pay for that month only, and the 3-month minimum does not apply.

What comes before and after Product Partner?

Most founders arrive from a Product Build, 6 weeks from idea to a live product, and keep 2 days a month once it is out. Going the other way: a month whose list outgrows two days gets scoped and priced as its own piece of work, and the Partner months carry on alongside it. If the product is live but underperforming rather than growing, a Product Audit is the better next step, 2 weeks at €4,500.
