Should I build this, and what goes in the first version?

A Product Clarity Day answers both in one day: four focused hours on your product, then a written decision brief. It costs €1,500, and the full amount comes off a Product Audit or a Build if you book one within 30 days.

€1,500

Duration: 1 day

Fully credited toward a Product Audit or a Build booked within 30 days

Who is a Clarity Day for?

Founders and small teams standing in front of one expensive decision. Build it or not. Custom code or no-code. What goes into version one, and what waits. If you were about to send me a message that starts with "I have an idea", this is that conversation, structured.

It is not for you if you already know what to build and only need it built: that is a Build, from €12,000. It is not for a live product that underperforms either: that is a Product Audit, €4,500 over 2 weeks. And it is not a sales call. I start working before we meet, so bring material, not a pitch.

What do you walk away with?

A document you can act on the next morning, plus the recording of how we got there.

  • A written decision brief: what to build, what to skip, in what order, and what version one realistically costs
  • An architecture recommendation, with the reasoning written out
  • A sequenced roadmap with dates, ready to hand to any developer
  • The full recording of the four hours
  • One named next step, with a date on it

How does the day actually run?

In three parts: half a day of preparation, four structured hours together, then half a day of writing. You are only in the room for the middle part.

  1. Before: half a day of preparation

I read what already exists: the product, the market, and the question you are asking. Send links, drafts, and numbers. Unfinished is fine, and skip the slide deck. Bring the people who can decide. I arrive with a hypothesis, not a blank page.

  2. The day: four structured hours

This is not an open conversation. We work in blocks: the problem you are solving, what version one has to do, what it must not do, what to build it with, and in what order. The session is recorded.

  3. After: the brief in three working days

Half a day of writing on my side, then the decision brief and the roadmap reach you within three working days of the session.

What is not included?

Nothing gets built on a Clarity Day. It is a decision, in writing.

  • Code, design files, or a prototype. Building is a Build, from €12,000
  • Ongoing availability after the day. Later questions belong in Product Partner: 2 days a month, €2,000 per month, minimum 3 months
  • Moderated user testing with 5 participants. That is an add-on to a Product Audit, plus €2,000

Questions

That is a result, and the cheapest one you can buy. A day at €1,500 that stops a Product Build starting at €18,000 has paid for itself. You still get the reasoning in writing, and the one change that would make the idea worth building.

Yes. Four hours is roughly the limit of good decision-making in one sitting, and longer sessions produce more tired people, not more decisions. The day is a day and a half of my work in total: half a day of preparation, the four hours with you, half a day of writing.

The full €1,500 comes off the price if you book a Product Audit or a Build within 30 days of the session. Not part of it, all of it. It can be used once, and it applies to a Product Audit or a Build, not to a Product Partner month.

What comes before and after a Clarity Day?

Before it, most people have an idea they cannot yet defend on paper. Some arrive from an idea taking shape in Modulyo, my own app for turning a business idea into a structured plan. Others arrive from an email that begins with "I have an idea". After it, the brief points at one of two next steps: a Product Audit at €4,500 if something live is underperforming, or a Build from €12,000 if the answer is to build it.

Want to start on your own first?

You can, and part of the preparation is already software. Modulyo is my own app for turning a business idea into a structured plan: Learn mode explains the method, and Create mode builds the plan with you. Arrive with that plan, and the four hours start further along.
